Other Saturday football
SPURS vs SUNDERLAND (1245 ko)
Fourth from top at home to third from bottom. Regulation prediction, right? Wrong. Spurs have taken just four points from their last four home games, while BFS has won both his league games in January. And he's got Defoe firing. He'll fancy a point today and I think he might just get it. Draw.

BOURNEMOUTH vs NORWICH
Inconsistency plays inconsistency. With two negatives making a positive, we may be in for a thoroughly entertaining game at the Vitality Stadium. The Cherries will look to return to winning ways, but the Canaries will be in no mood to allow their hosts that today. Could go any way, but I favour a high-scoring draw.

CHELSEA vs EVERTON
There's no Eden for Chelsea today, but Martinez's men have been resolute on their travels this season and will certainly pose a hazard to the home team's attempts to climb away from the division's lower reaches. Everton will look to put a hold on the resurgent and have their own lethal weapon in Lukaku. Spoils shared.

MAN CITY vs CRYSTAL PALACE
These teams met in the League Cup in October, with City trouncing Palace by 5 goals to 1. Since then Palace's fortunes have been mixed, and their recent form has seen them score just four goals in their last seven league outings. With Bolasie still out, it's hard to see Palace getting anything today. Emphatic home win.

SOUTHAMPTON vs WEST BROM
It's been more than three months since West Brom last won or lost a game by more than the odd goal. After a generally awful December, the Saints have enjoyed a couple of decent results. So expect a close game. Another share of the spoils at St Mary's.

ASTON VILLA vs LEICESTER (1730 ko)
Top vee bottom. Regulation prediction, right? Right. Away win.

SPURS vs SUNDERLAND

A quirk of the fixture list/table/past that means pleasure can be gained from all possible results in this game.

BOURNEMOUTH vs NORWICH

If this game throws a winner then I suspect it will be the victors playing in the premier league next term

CHELSEA vs EVERTON

Although a draw would be best for us strategically, I want Chelsea to realise that there's no hope left in trying to catch us, let alone go for Europe via the league. At that point I sense the mother of all hissy fits to emanate from that part of London.

MAN CITY vs CRYSTAL PALACE

Depends which City turns up. Could be dull & goal-less.

SOUTHAMPTON vs WEST BROM

This is one of those "I couldn't care less" matches for me that the league throws up every year. So a care less Desmond.

ASTON VILLA vs LEICESTER

A home win - just to make the pundits have a re-think.

SPURS vs SUNDERLAND
Defoe to grab a brace in an away win.

BOURNEMOUTH vs NORWICH
The Cherries will have been inspired by Payet's performance, and their midfield will seek to emulate him. Home win

CHELSEA vs EVERTON
Costa will get involved in some argy bargy with Everton's hatchet man, and get sent off.
Away win.

MAN CITY vs CRYSTAL PALACE
Palace can be annoying, and Man City will be annoyed to drop 2 points. Draw

SOUTHAMPTON vs WEST BROM
Who cares? Home win.

And, of course, the Villa - Leicester game goes without saying.

Re: Other Saturday football
I hope you're right about Sunderland, as that would mean we're top 4, if we win, but Spuds will win today.

Man City may beat Palace, but I don't think it will be easy as you are suggesting.

Re: Other Saturday football
Andy Townsend just said that Bourenmouth's home game today is a 'must win' for them, they aint even in the bottom 3!

How do these pricks get away with it.

Re: Other Saturday football
It's quite a reasonable statement. A home game against a fellow struggler should be considered a must win.
